Hi everybody, I am Dian Alvarez, a clinical MSW student from UW Seattle who is graduating in June 2024. My family moved to Washington state from Michoacan, MX and I was born and raised in the Yakima Valley.
I carry a deep passion for serving the community and all people who have historically suffered from the violence imposed by white supremacy. I am passionate about serving folks in ways that are true to their ways of being.
Removing barriers western medicine has imposed when treating folks seeking mental health services from our community is one of my goals as a future provider.
