
Jenni Martinez-Lorenzo (She/Her/Ella) was born in Seattle and is the daughter of immigrant parents. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington’s School of Social Work in 2021 and will be graduating from UW’s Master of Social Work program in June 2025.
Jenni has extensive experience in social work; specializing in family engagement, cultural brokering, and resource coordination and shei is committed to supporting Latinx families and communities. She has worked to bridge cultural gaps in educational and healthcare settings, ensuring families have access to essential resources and support. At Seattle Children’s Hospital, Jenni provides cultural consultation to the Eating Disorder Recovery Program, offering Spanish-language caregiver training and coaching interpreters to improve care and psychoeducation. Jenni has supported first generation students of color and facilitated family relationships with schools. With a background in community organizing, her work focuses on creating spaces of belonging, advocacy, and culturally responsive care, rooted in liberation, equity, empowerment, advocacy and building cross-cultural relationships for Latinx and immigrant communities.
