Rosario Jazmin was born in Oaxaca, Mexico, and raised in Yakima, Washington. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Heritage University in 2023. Rosario Jazmin is a graduate student at the University of Washington Doctorate of Nursing Program specializing in Population Health and Systems Leadership.
Rosario Jazmin grew up interpreting for her parents and witnessed the health disparities for her Latine community. This ignited her passion to change the systems in place to provide equitable care for all patients, families, and communities. She wants to continue to learn about these systems and work with others to make sure healthcare is accessible to all. She believes in the collective effort of empowering the next generation of nurses to advocate for all communities. Rosario Jazmin aspires to return to the Yakima Valley to work with her Latine community as a nursing professor.
