I am a student at UW Tacoma pursuing my Masters in Nursing Education. As an immigrant and a first gen student navigating both academia and healthcare has been nothing but a struggle. This sentiment echoes through both South Asian and Latinx communities. As a nurse, it has been a privilege to help the local community with their health but also have the educational background to share this knowledge with others. With my MSN, I aspire to continue in academia by doing research for marginalized communities, while also continuing to work as a nurse and serving the local community that raised me. Outside of nursing, I love to explore nature, try new food and meet new people!
