José Reyes is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student, in the Population Health and Systems Leadership track, attending the University of Washington. Recognizing the need for advanced education and leadership in nursing, José decided to pursue a graduate degree. As a DNP student, he is dedicated to expanding his knowledge in healthcare policy, research, and evidence-based practice. Through his studies, José is gaining the skills necessary to shape healthcare policies and improve outcomes for underserved populations on a larger scale.
With nine years of experience as a nurse, José has a strong foundation in clinical practice. He has spent a significant portion of his career working in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).In this fast-paced and challenging environment, José has demonstrated exceptional clinical judgment and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients in their most vulnerable moments.
In addition to his academic pursuits, José has also taken on leadership roles within the nursing community. He serves as an Associate Dean of Nursing at Everett Community College, where he plays a crucial role in developing future nurses. José is passionate about fostering a culture of excellence and innovation, ensuring that nursing students receive the highest quality education and are well-prepared to address health equity issues in our community.
